Wander 2016 City Guide: Buenos Aires the Beautiful
There is so much more to Buenos Aires than tango, steak and wine. At first glance Argentina’s capital may have a thrilling and unpredictable exterior but underneath is a city that is irresistibly beautiful, with romantic architecture and grandiose buildings, world-class art galleries, fine restaurants (serving the world’s best beef!) and a thriving fashion industry.
Part of its charm is its dual heritage – part European, part Latin American. It is not called the ‘Paris of the South’ for nothing. Although South American in many ways, Buenos Aires is more similar to a European city, it is very authentic with deep roots and traditions but at the same time is very edgy and forward thinking. When you travel there you will encounter a city that buzzes with a passion that is entirely its own.
